History
ADNOC Technical Academy was established in 1978 as an oil and gas training facility that trains and develops young Emiratis to become operators and technicians at the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) operational facilities in the UAE.
At ADNOC Technical Academy, they aim to build the trainee’s technical capabilities and skills through a 30 months-long comprehensive training program that consists of different phases from theoretical studies to hands-on experiences and on-the-job training in one of ADNOC’s operating companies. Their mandate is to develop the competencies of the UAE youth to commence their careers in the vital jobs of the oil and gas industry while supporting ADNOC’s expansion and growth plans. The Academy also offers competency assessments and specialized training programs for ADNOC employees as required.
Wholly owned and sponsored by ADNOC Group Companies, the Academy consists of a large purpose-built campus with state-of-the-art facilities, including fully equipped workshops, modern classrooms, science laboratories, DCS simulation centers, and laboratories for each specialization to several pilot training plants.
